Edison Alejandro Callejas Santos (Petrolike) has won the second stage of Il Giro d’Abruzzo, the 160 km long San Demetrio ne’ Vestini-Roccaraso (Aremogna), ahead of Georg Zimmermann (Intermarché – Wanty) and David De la Cruz (Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team).
Georg Zimmermann (Intermarché – Wanty) is the new Maglia BiancoVerdeBlu.

This stage suited me very well. Thanks God I got this win. I felt very good at the beginning of the climb and I saw the GC contenders were riding cautiously. I went to the front and I had great legs. Only when I crossed the line I thought of the win. I believe this is the start of something big with our partner Petrolike who is building the future with talented young riders”.
